HELL IN THE BIBLE IS ONE ENGLISH WORD THAT TRANSLATES the concepts of eternal punishment from the words Sheol, Hades, Gei-Hinnom, and Gehenna from the declarations of Jesus.
The Devil, the Beast, and the false Prophet are cast alive in the lake of fire. Death and Hades (Sheol) that gave up their living dead for judgement are also cast into it. Are the living dead from Death and Hades who faced judgments cast also alive in the lake of fire to be tormented in hell fire?
The lake of fire is the final site of torment for Lucifer (Satan), the fallen Angels, and all the dead who failed to make it to the kingdom of God. Where will be the lake of fire for so many to fit in it, as this earth is to disappear and to be replaced by a brand-new one (Revelation 21:1)?
Will all the lost ones be tormented day and night with Lucifer (Satan)?
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast and them that worshipped his image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with brimstone: Revelation 19:20 ASV
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10 ASV
And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire. Revelation 20:14 ASV
And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15 ASV
If we are uncertain about the fate of the lost ones, to be tormented forever or not, we must strive to be rescued by Jesus. Gehenna is said to be the Greek equivalent of the same Hebrew concept 'Gei Hinnom'.
If your right eye makes you sin, gouge it out and throw it away! Better that you should lose one part of you than have your whole body thrown into Gei-Hinnom. Matthew 5:29 CJB
